Biography
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Zhejiang University in 2023 and my Master’s degree in Philosophy at Ghent University in 2025. My research interests lie primarily in the history and philosophy of science.
I am currently working on the French neo-Kantian philosopher Léon Brunschvicg, a key figure at the origin of the French tradition of historical epistemology, whose influence extends to Gaston Bachelard,Georges Canguilhem, and many others. My PhD project explores Brunschvicg’s historicized form of neo-Kantian philosophy of science and examines its implications for the contemporary history and philosophy of science.
My academic trajectory reflects the convergence of my long-standing interests in both the natural sciences and philosophy. The enthusiasm for the natural sciences during high school gradually developed into philosophical reflection, leading me to Kant’s philosophy and, subsequently, to the philosophy of science. Later, my engagement with the history of science, especially through the works of Alexandre Koyré, further introduced a historical perspective into my philosophical development. This eventually led me to Brunschvicg’s synthesis of Kantianism and historical reflection of science.
