Jip van Besouw is a postdoctoral researcher in the History and Philosophy of Science. His research centres on the development of experimental and mathematical practices in seventeenth and eighteenth-century physics, as well as on the methodological and epistemological discourses of that time. He got his PhD in 2017 with a dissertation on W.J. ’s Gravesande. Previously, he has studied History & Philosophy of Science (MSc 2013) and Physics & Astronomy (BSc 2011) at Utrecht University.
